and there are conduction noise and radiation noise.
Conducted noise is noise that is conducted through the AC line and emitted
outside the SMPS.

Radiated noise is electromagnetic noise that is radiated into space,
and is measured using an antenna like the one shown below.
Radiated noise is often measured in a shielded room to block out electromagnetic noise from outside.
Common mode filters like the some below are effective for suppressing noise in SMPS.
Select a common mode filter with a band that matches the frequency of the noise you want to suppress.
In addition to common mode filters, there are several other methods for suppressing noise in SMPSs.
