Top > Technical-notes > LCRmeter > What is Ls Lp Cs Cp Rs Rp |
Refers to a series equivalent circuit or a parallel equivalent circuit
for an inductor or capacitor.
Since the LCR meter cannot determine whether the measured object is series
equivalent or parallel equivalent,
the person measuring it must decide whether it is a series equivalent circuit
or a parallel equivalent circuit.
When we measured an unknown X device with an LCR meter, we obtained the following data. |
Calculate Ls Lp Cs Cp Rs Rp. |
Based on the calculation results, it is expected to be an inductor. We will consider whether it is Ls or Lp. If the impedance is low, Rp can be ignored, so a series equivalent circuit is selected. If the impedance is high, Rs can be ignored, so choose a parallel equivalent circuit. Below is the Ls Lp Cs Cp selection table. |
Due to its low impedance, the unknown X device is likely an inductor with
an equivalent series inductance of 66.743μH and an equivalent series resistance of 0.1985Ω. |
